How to maintain your lawnmower?
Here are a few easy to do tips to ensure your lawnmower lasts for a long time and stays in prime condition;
- Before using it, check the oil and fill it up with clean fuel.
- After use, wash the mower down after the engine cools down.
- Make sure to clean the wheels after every use too to make sure there is no sand or dust left in them, this will help prolong the bearing life.
- During the off season, don’t leave fuel in the fuel tank and carburettor.
- Change the oil and air filter every 50 hours of using the mower, but clean the air filter after every use of the lawn mower.
- Spark plugs must be changed at the end of every season.
- Blades can be replaced as soon as they are worn or chipped.
- Never cut hard solids, like stones, with the mower.
Always keep safety in mind when using a lawn mower too. Never touch the mower body, blade, or grass box while the engine is running.
